Khamsa or Hamsa (literally five) is a palm shaped amulet popular throughout Middle East specially among the followers of AhlulBayt as it is said to symbolize either the Panjtan Pak or the Hand of Fatima AS  in protest. A variation of this called the ‘Panja’ is popular in the Indian subcontinent.
